Fishing trips on the Caribbean coast are based out of Parismina and Manzanillo. Parismina is a small quiet fishing village located on a sand bar just south of Tortuguero national park and is only accessible by boat. The options for lodging are limited to the remote location and small size of the village. Parismina is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive and a 20 minute boat ride from the airport. Manzanillo is a small beach town popular with tourists and Costa Ricans. It is famous for it’s beautiful Caribbean beaches and calm clear waters and is just south of Cahuita nation park and 10 kilometers north of Panama. Manzanillo is 3 hours by car from the airport or 40 minutes by car or bus after a 25 minute flight to Limon.
